Rad space?

I am planning on building a water cooled M-ATX PC. I was going to use either the 350D or the new Fractal Arc Mini V2. How much radiator space do I need to cool my CPU (4670K)  GPU (either 660ti/760ti/7950/8950) and my RAM (Yes, I know there is not much benefit to water cooling the memory but I think that it looks good.)?

Around 3.120. More is better but you should have at least this.

What thickness should the rads be? I don't want to spend too much money on them as it will be a waste.

Honestly, go with a decently thick one. EK and Alphacool have pretty think ones that are ideal.

yeah, i dont think you can go that thick. Just 45mm in pull config with good fans.

Around 3.120. More is better but you should have at least this.

This.

You want 1x120mm for every piece of hardware you cool, then add 1 more 1x120mm.

So, you are cooling the GPU and CPU (RAM doesn't count, for obvious reason), so you need 1 for each, then add an extra for headroom adds to 3x120mm.

I prefer 140mm rads myself, simply because... it's more. But yeah.

How about something like this? Just use a really thick radiator in the front of the 350D and use the 5.25" bays for HDDs.

Every component varies with heat output. Any sort of rule about this that compares component count to radiator space is just people making up their own random rules (which of course work because it doesn't matter how many radiators you add into the loop as long as you ramp up the fans accordingly) which people see and repeat without fully understanding what they are talking about.

That still does not answer my question on thickness, how thick was the rad in the top of the build on TastyPC? 45mm?

I wouldn't recommend radiators thicker than the ones used on AIO coolers in the top of the 350D (those radiators are about 30mm thick). Even if thicker do fit, it really depends on VRM cooler height, and positioning of the 8-pin CPU power connector.

How thick is 'Decently thick'? I'm not sure how thick a read I could fit in the top of a 350D.

It depends on the motherboard you have. Some motherboards have tall VRM heat-sinks which can interfere with the rad.
