Question about SLI

Just got my second card & was wondering if I have to set anything up software wise to take advantage of SLI? 

 

I followed the wikihow link about setting up it up, first I switched the SLI configuration to "Maximize 3D performance". Followed by "Manage 3D Settings" to turn the sli rendering to "force alternate frame rendering 2".

 

Does this sound correct or am I going about this completely wrong. Also is there anything I'm missing?

That's it, but you shouldn't have to use "force alternate frame rendering 2"; just use the "Nvidia recommended (SLI)".

I'll switch it to Nvidia Recommended then.
