PSU upgrade

Go to solution Solved by slightlyjaded,

Thanks for the positive comments, it seems like im going to keep my psu for a while :) .

Yup, if you're happy please close out the post....

Hello everyone, I would like to know if I should change my actual psu (Corsair TX 850) for a modular one (possibly the XFX XTR 750W). The main reason I want to change is because there are way too many cables with the corsair one and also because it generates many noise (although it doesnt happens anymore because I put a Noctua fan instead of the original one).

Wow, just wow. I really cannot believe how much you have jury rigged in there. I thought it was a triple slot video card at first...... It looks like you've managed to deal with the extra cable by hiding them behind the motherboard tray, so if you're happy with it, why change? if you're not happy with it, then go nuts. if you want to save a few bucks you could go halfway, and pick up a semi modular as you're going to need the 24 pin, and 8 pin anyway.

Nice GPU mod there, and unless you really want to change the PSU to a modular one it looks like a pretty good job in terms of cable management.

I would personally wait until you do a new build and change the PSU then.
