squeaky mouse wheel

so my Naga Epic mouse wheel started squeaking and its annoying as shite, my guess is that i SHOULDNT spray WD 40 in it. how could i fix this?

When in doubt, WD40 and Duct Tape. Amen.

but... duct tape is for parts that are moving and shouldnt be...
