FX-6300 overclock

Hey guys, and linus/whoever can help.

 

i have an AMD FX-6300 processor on an ASRock 970 Performance mobo (8+2 power phase). I have an overclock of 4GHz at 1.3v setting (runs at 1.29v). I was wondering if i am at a safe and completely stable clock. I can run minecraft for a couple hours just fine at complete max settings. I have a Cooler Master Nepton 240m and it idles at 32C.

im going on is the voltage high enough. i always keep reading that it needs 1.4v, do i just have a good chip for OC or something?

i do have x-boost enabled for no reason, so it might be helping at keeping my voltage low.

Not really, FX line can go 4.5, 4.8. If you want your chip to be competitive to intel, that's the only way.

i will prob turn it up to round 4.4GHz so be it the nepton 240m keeps is below 60C and no voltage above 1.425v

i think i will run Prime95 saturday for an hour to determine. what will happen if not enough voltage, and too high voltage?
