Wheels and Dirt 3

Hey, finally i got my wheel in the mail, but not the xbox one or the game so i decided to try it out on a pc.

it worked before i started playing. 

 

i have a Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 spider wheel NOT THE TX VERSION! XBOX ONE

 

its just the steering that dosnt work!

 

it assigns both right wheel spin and left wheel spin as LT and i want it to be Left LT and Right RT

 

Please help!?

A little confused, do you mean you have the xbox version or not? I don't own a wheel personally but will do some digging for you

Also is it just a wheel or pedals to?

Sorry mate had some stuff to deal with. Can't find anything about it. But i may be able to go through some thing.

Just to double check you want LT brak and RT accelerate?

First off since i have never used a wheel before what settings come up in dirt 3 controls? Does it give you the option to chose between controller and wheel?

If it does what happens when you try to rebind these controls? Does LT show RT when you press it rather than showing LT? Also have you tried any other car games with this wheel?

Edit. After doing some digging it may in fact be a problem with the game. It seems that the logitech g27 does not work correctly on grid autosport without some tweaking. Yes grid is a newer game but there on the same engine and also the g27 is a very well known racing wheel.

There are various guides to get the g27 working with grid but there's nothing to do with your wheel on dirt 3.

I can only suggest you have a good mess around with all the control settings even ones that may not be in the game menu...I dunno maybe in documents/ dirt 3 or programme files.

Sorry i can be of no more use but i tried my best One other thing you could try is. If this is an official xbox one wheel maybe download the xbox one controller driver and install that if you have not already.

It probably wont make a difference but there's certainly no harm in trying.

https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-one/accessories/controller-pc-compatibility make sure you pick the correct one to your system.

I would also say uninstall your wheel before installing this, unplug and the re insert once you have the new controller driver installed.
