every 'OC' capable motherboard is mostly marketing and will not increase your max OC, this is mostly limited to the luck you have with your chip

 

so yes, it will be more then enough to squeze 4.4 Ghz of of that chip (if the chips allows it)

I am looking into building a new rig and I decided I want to go with a micro ATX build. I have always liked smaller form factors computers. I was curious how well an Asrock z97m Pro4 would be able to overclock a i5-4970k? This will be my first time overclocking. Not asking how to just if it will be good enough too.

 

P.S. I picked this board because I am going with a blue color scheme. I like blue. \(^.^)/

Yeah, it's a Z board and not a H board so you can commence the overcloking sequence beep boop.
