Custom loop versus AIO

Hey guys, so is there that much of a performance benefit of a custom loop over a AIO to justify the several hundred dollar price difference between the two? I really want to do a custom CPU loop (with potential add on for GPU's later on) but if the performance benefit is only marginal I may opt for the AIO in order to save some money. Thanks for the help guys

you will ALWAYS get a greater performance benifit by buying higher end as far as I know. there are various justifications for custom loop watercooling. lower temps, silence, bragging rights. awesome factor, and the ability to make the fastest parts a bit faster, but the performance per dollar doesn't go up.

If you want performance, an AIO or high end air cooler coupled with a faster processor like 5820k would be a better value.

I won't effect performance. Even a 212 Evo will have the same performance effect as the most expensive loop money can buy. It will be only until you overclock that you'll see the difference but the your CPU might not overclock well and it would just be very expensive eye candy
