Hey LTT forum, I just upgraded the RAM sticks on my system, and now my eyes turn towards the GPU. Im looking for something that is compatible with my motherboard, fits inside the case and can get enough power from my PSU. Any tips or sugestions are most welcome. Or is it no good until I swap out my case and motherboard with something bigger and newer?

R9 285 mITX / GTX 970 mITX to be 100% safe, but most 970s/290s/280xs would probably fit even if the drive cage brace couldn't be removed.

If the drive cage brace can be removed, then, R9 290, R9 280x, GTX 970

you mean the single fan GTX 970 right?

i wonder what thermals are like on that thing, it seems like a really interesting idea.

They're pretty good, and yea, the only reason why I'd suggest either one is I can't find the exact dimensions for a gpu, so the mITX versions would be a safe bet -- albeit not necessarily the best as they're not the quietest, coolest, or fastest.
