Hi guys, I'm back! My computer has had problems in the last few days since I got this new CPU cooler. Anyway to the point I lunched CS:GO to go into a match and it shutdown by itself I then turned it back on and now it is shutting down when windows 8.1 has loaded but I can get into the bios and it won't shutdown. Is this a simple fix? My pc specs are in my profile.

Looks like the cooler isn't seated properly and it's overheating.

Ahh this was my previous problem sigh. When I looked at the bios the cpu temps were at around 60 so surly it isn't over heating. the cooler seems to have problems mounting to sigh.

If it's 60c in celsius at the bios it is overheating.

dam! I just checked the cooler and it seems to be firmly on there also has new thermal paste on it to. If it is overheating i guess it is what it is.

Try to remove it and do it again also check if you correctly installed it according to the manual also is your cpu overclocked?

Nah it isn't overclocked I guess I'll just have to do that. Weird because before I had ran CS:GO I had the computer on for a fair while and nothing seemed wrong.

#1 what cooler did you get?

#2 if you changed nothing other than the cooler, then it HAS to be the cooler causing the changes.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

Maybe you installed the cooler correctly, 60°C is nothing on Intel (?) processors - don't know about AMD. I had a similar problem with computer shutting down under load, and it turned out to be a PSU issue. You might want to check your Event Viewer, write down the error codes and google them. If it shuts down when under load, it could be your power supply not being able to keep up and your motherboard telling it "hey you need to shut down now". Any way you can swap your PSU to another one?

I'll try that.

Re edited can't get to event viewer since I can't get to windows without it shutting down.
