so i am guessing you are trying to install the OS into the SSD

did you unplug the other drives before you proceed to install the OS?

Hi,

Do this following steps;

1. Connect the USB when laptop is OFF

Start up the laptop and check whether it is detected in the BIOS setup
If YES update windows.

2. Try to format it on other computer and then connect it to your laptop

3. Try and check if other USB work on your laptop.

Everything is detected in BIOS and the USB works on other computers and it was already formatted before then I put win 7 on it via WinToFlash

What USB port are you using? Use a USB2 port instead of USB3, Windows has weird issues with being installed from USB3, and make sure you're using the AMD SATA ports instead of ones added in by Asus, check your motherboard manual for which ports are which, and finally make sure you're using AHCI instead of RAID for the SATA ports, otherwise you'll need the preinstall drivers from Asus' website.

Where to go to check if AHCI instead or RAID?

Go into you BIOS and choose "Advanced Mode"
Next, go to "SATA Configuration"
Next, check that all your drives are detected and enabled in this menu, if they are, then go to "SB SATA Configuration" and make sure that all the ports are set to AHCI, then finally, go to the Exit menu and select "Save Configuration & Exit"

Also, make sure you're using the correct SATA ports (they should be the brown SATA ports, not the grey ports)

They're all connected to sata6g_12,34,56 (brown ports) and they're in AHCI and it only recognizes the 1tb HDD so I'm installing win 7 on there for now

That is very strange, if they're definitely recognised in the BIOS then I have no idea what is going on with Windows, if they're recognised when you're in Windows proper then I'm even more confused.
If they aren't recognised in Windows proper though then you've most likely got dud drives and you'll need to RMA them, but usually if they are dud they won't be recognised by the BIOS either, so I don't know what's up with that.

Let us know what happens once you've got Windows installed, cause it's gonna bug me otherwise :)
I'd love to work on the rig myself and spend a full day looking at it, cause that's gonna drive me nuts :D

I had to format the ssd but it doesn't recognize the 3tb HDD but it did in bios

Go to Disk Management and see if that shows the drive.

Right click on Computer --> Manage --> Disk Management and check
