Hey linus community my friend is wanting to get a new pc, he wants a pc for low to medium 4k games, he also wants to do some short 20 minute video editing at 1080p, he would also prefer 16gb of ram.

He wants to pay $2000 max and wants to buy everything from pc case gear and he is in Australia. He dose not need pheriferals and a monitor,

On PC Case Gear this should be roughly the same price, if it's not you could bump off the SSD or get a s340 if you want. :)

Should be perfect for his needs, if he wants to make it cheaper he can lower it to a 120gb HyperX Fury, those are pretty cheap, and if he needs to overclock, he will have to spend a bit more and get a 4790k, but for editing and gaming, the Xeon is just fine. Also Z97 board is also a must because even if a H97 board supports crossfire, it will probably be bottlenecked anyway by the pcie layout.

What about this, only 8gb ram, but unless he highers his budget a lil but, he will have to deal with 8gb for a bit until he upgrades
