Pc TDP error

I recently purchased a new gpu. (the gtx 970) and when I play games my pc crashes. I then ran a gpu benchmark and a cpu benchmark separate (1 hour each). I then ran them together, and a message on the benchmark said that the gpu was only getting 7% of its tdp And then it crashed.

RMA the 970 to wherever store you bought it.

Its not the 970, it works fine. the stress test was left for about half an hour without any issues. And I had it for over a month without issues.
