Specific Motherboard

Hi I'm trying to build my own computer and I need a motherboard that can be compatible with an intel i7 5960x, 18 hard drives, i have a case it's a lian li d8000, I have a general idea of what kind of idea for a motherboard I would need but I'm not sure if it will work. It's an ASUS x99 deluxe, but I'm not sure if it can work with all the drives. Would I need a specific cord or something to connect all of them? Would I need a different motherboard? How do I check if a motherboard can work with 18 hard drives?
