random restart

asus z97pro 

i7-4790k

h100i

corsair vengeance 16gb ram

zotac 780oc gpu 

corsair cx750m psu

 

my pc restarts randomly . but when it does my wall light flicks for a millisecond and then my rig restarts . I don't know what the issue is , weather its an issue with my psu or my wall socket, means my electrical wiring . Because a 750watt is a lot to take in from a 5amp wall socket .

This doesn't happen often like maybe once a month or so . I was planning to buy a ups for my pc . Which output should i go for .
apc back up pro 1000 = 650 watt and 1000kv.

or

apc back up pro 1500= 1000watt and 1500kv.

Ehm... 750 watts is not really that much to pull from the wall, and just because you have a 750 watt PSU doesn't mean you're constantly pulling that from the wall. Either your substation is having problems with power delivery, or something is wrong with your wiring. I'd have someone come check it out.

I'd say go with the 600 watts UPS, more than enough

Where do you live and how far away is the nearest transformator to your house?
Electronics doesnt take kindly to power-spikes and dips.

Getting a UPS should fix your problem though.
