I don't know why the 960 is so exciting, it's not like it'll run 4K @60FPS or anything

it can run 4K.. whether or not it'll be enjoyable is another thing.

it's not like there's more than a handful of people trying to do 4k 60FPS

Because people want mid range value cards.

 

As to why they think they'll get that from the 960... beats me.  I'd expect it to perform around the same level as a 280x or 290 (or somewhere in between) and it sure as hell won't be much cheaper than either of those are.  Might work well as a fairly high end performing card with very low power usage, but we'll have to wait and see.

didn't you see the benchmarks for this card? it's terrible value, may as well get a 280/280X for way cheaper than what this piece of shit card will be
