SSD issues cmos removal?

Heizu

Hello Everyone!

So i recently bought another ssd to run along in my system.

This is my second ssd so ive installed one of these successfully already

My story is that when i installed it and turned my system on

then accessed the bios it clearly showed it plugged in.

However due to an accidental hit of the power button my system

shut down while i was in the bios.

I wasnt doing anything critical or changing any settings so

I dont believe this matters however

when i went  to turn my system back on it no longer was able to

detect the new SSD. My old one and my hard drive read fine.

I have tried switching the SATA cords and power input also tried

different ports on the motherboard.

So somewhere in the vast universe of google someone had a

similar case to mine and mentioned that

by removing their motherboards cmos battery and then

replacing it 10 minutes or so later it allowed the

motherboard to recognize the new SSD.

My question is how can i get my motherboard to read this SSD?

If  I do try to remove the cmos battery what does that effect?

Any help is appreciated!

See if you can see the new SSD in Disk Management. If it's there, you can initialize and format it.
