The cable I'm using is the blue one which I think is old and doesn't hook up on the graphics card

It's a VGA cable. You need DisplayPort, HDMI, or DVI. Connect one of those to your video card. Alternatively, you can use a DVI to VGA adapter which should've come with your graphics card.

You can continue to use it, just need a dvi to vga adapter.   may have been one in the box with the new video card. 

 

Until you either get one of those or a new monitor, you may have to turn down your WoW graphics to minimum settings while you play.
