How do you do those windows 8 shortcuts effectively through a remote desktop session? Is there another key to take it's place? (thinking like insert is used for delete inside vmware virtual machines for cntrl alt del)

Most Remote desktop keyboard shortcuts are different to the normal windows ones. AFAIK there are not as many e.g.

Ctrl + Alt + End : Opens Windows Security Dialog Box = Ctrl + Alt + Del Locally.

Alt + Windows Key : Opens Start Menu / Start Screen = Windows Key locally.

They're the only ones I can remember. I believe there is a way to set a master key on windows server to enable normal shortcuts when the master key is held. Don't really know if this can be done in normal windows though.
