micro stuttering :(

hello Im currently using i7 920 and ASUS R9 270 (upgraded recently), but something weird is happening. every game has little to major stutters while the fps doesnt drop, lowering graphics doesnt help. Same thing happens on FIFA and Shadow of Mordor and other few games. Any idead what it could be ?

What monitor? Or more important, what cable are you using?

Its VGA cable with adapter for DVI-D. Could that be the problem?

what was the old card?

 

if the new card is capable of rendering more perhaps your processor is starting to show it's age?

the old card was 8600GT

did you go into add/remove programes and uninstall the nvidia drivers before installing the new card? 

 

did you go to windows updates and get firmware updates for netframework and DX and then keep going back until all the patches were installed?

well I completely reinstalled windows drivers were installed on a fresh version of system

I've had a similar issue but with the FX-6300 & R9 270.

Issue went away after upgrading my CPU.

I'm happy because when I see these topics, the user usually has an FX.

But for the majority of the time, lately, the user has an Intel.

But yeh.
