Which headset is better?

So a friend of mine told my 7.1 audio is not good to have in a headset when playing CS: GO since it messes up sound positioning. Is this true and if so, is the Logitech G230 better than the Corsair Vengeance 1400. If you know of a better alt than one of these, my max price is $60.

Pioneer SE -A1000 or Superlux headphones with a zalman clip on.
