Ok, I think I fixed it. Just ran ADW cleaner one and now theres only 246MB Ram changed... :D

Hi, I just started my PC and noticed I can only 14 out of 16 GB even tho I have not done anything strange! How can I set it back?

Plz help!

As much as I'd love to speak German, my school gave me Spanish instead.

 

From what I can tell, you're using 4.4GB and you have some more as pool and cache and stuff...

 

But yeah. Something must be reserving the extra 1.8GB. Let me check in my system.

As far as I know, ram isn't used unless it's needed, so most will sit in "standby" ready to be written to up to a limit, after that unless it's needed it's just left idle. (From something I researched a fair while ago) It'll use more when needed I believe.)

Hmm, first time I've noticed that it does not match, I'm missing 100MB's.

As far as I know, ram isn't used unless it's needed, so most will sit in "standby" ready to be written to up to a limit, after that unless it's needed it's just left idle. (From something I researched a fair while ago) It'll use more when needed I believe.)

I don't see a problem there.

 

You may go on the resource monitor and check the RAM there, its way more accurate and easier to understand than the task manager.

There might be some MB reserved for Hardware.

Can't see a problem though, it recognises 16GB, it will use 16GB, it's just task manager is only showing the active RAM not the standby ram.

This changed RAM might be a problem with one programm.
Close one programm every time and look if it goes away. Would suggest chrome first.
 
As i already said, there is no problem with your RAM.
All RAM is available and can be used by the system there is just a stupid program with some sort of stupid behavior.
 
Changed (Geändert) should be around 200-300 MB under normal conditions.
But you should only consider this a problem when you are running out of RAM.

 

Also if you have changed your page file (Auslagerungsdatei) settings you might get them back to recommended.
