OC headroom

So hi everyone,

this is my build i am looking to make in a month or so, but in planning i would like to know how much headroom i would supposably have with this PSU and decent overclocking on CPU and GPU. Also some basic tips and alterations I could look at making would be helpful. If you are interested my budget is $1400 AUD and this is for almost only games. cheers (:

Looooads of headroom. You could probably add another 970 in there and still be fine. 

 

EDIT: Board doesn't support SLI, so don't do that I would advise getting a board that supports SLI, just to give yourself some more options for the future.

Yep, the 212 EVO is pretty good. Should be able to get a fairly good OC with it.

Get a different motherboard, the one you picked doesn't support sli and its really cheap.

@RJSX1 thats a very nice looking motherboard but it breaks the bank for me sadly. Are there any you would recommend for ~$30 less or if this is really needed what i could change in my build to find this extra money? thanks

Everything is super expensive in Australia so its hard to judge.

Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI is only 20$ more expensive. Also consider getting cheaper 970 (from MSI for examlple)

@Alim Naizabek in Australia the MSI GTX 970 is in the middle of the range at $520 while the lowest being the $480 EVGA ACX 2.0 and the most expensive being the MSI GTX 970 Golden Edition at $570.
