Hi guys!

Currently on Ubuntu to ask for help.

Suddenly, after a Windows 7 update, a popup for my internet connection came up. It went too fast for me to catch. Computer than restarted as per normal of updates.

However, when it came back on, my internet connection than displayed an ugly red X over it. I troubleshot it and it responded that something was wrong with my driver or adapters.  I went to go install the drivers by carrying over the driver from the MSI page of my board. Only the driver said it was already up to date. Rebooted thinking maybe it was just messing up. Nothing. Upon another a troubleshooting, I clicked the details and it said "Windows couldn't automatially bind the IP protocl stack to the network adapter". I ran CMD and then ipconfig to see if I was getting a connection or IP. No. Nothing. Says everything is disconnected.

Anyone know how to fix this? I really don't want to contact Microsoft because they will just talk circles and not read my posts...and not help. I don't want to reinstall as I know trying to activate on the phone will be "you need to buy another windows as your Windows 7 Pro is just an upgrade" (when it isn't).

Thanks for reading and helping, if you can. :D *One thing for sure is that my actual ethernet cable or port is not broken as I am using it now, only on Ubuntu. And sorry if the post is smushed together and horrible to read. Ubuntu's Firefox is freaking out on me.
