There's fan splitters, such as NZXT's grid that you could consider.

How much do those cost?

Generally very little, at most $30 I believe.

I don't want to spend more on the cables for my fans than on the fans themselves.

The majority is around 5-15 dollars though, that probably will fit your budget?

Um Yes...the purpose of a power supply is to power you computer...Fans are usually powered via the 12v+ rail. If you mean a fan connector, then no, you would need an adapter or a controller.

I just need to make the fans run. So my power supply will have them? Where in the specs sheet will it tell me how many it has?

Like i said above, power supplies do not come with connectors to directly connect to fans. What you need is a molex 4-pin to 3/4-pin fan adapter.

Your fan will be powered off the +12V rail(s).

If my power supply only has one 12V rail, would I still need a splitter to connect to two fans?

The amount of rails has nothing to do with the amount of fans you need to connect. If you need to connect two fans, you either need 2 single-to-single adapters or 1 single-to-double adapter.

Where would I get a single-to-double connector? I can't find it.
