Astro A50 Audio Mix Problem

I just bought myself some astro a50s and can't seem to get audio from both the xbox and pc coming through at the same time.

 

I have the USB and power and audio from the PC and an optical cable for the xbox.

 

While I have the xbox off audio and chat comes through fine from the PC but once i turn the xbox on the PC audio turns off and I can only hear the xbox.

 

All help appreciated.
