I have no idea where this should go, so im going to throw it in here! (sorry if that's wrong, i'm new around here, oops)

My PC case at the moment is a corsair 300r. Now when i bought it, my PC wasn't very impressive to look at so i opted for the option with out the window. Now that my PC actually looks some what "Nice", i have gone ahead and bought the side panel with the window. In the panel i currently have, i have 2 (cheap ish) 120mm clear white led fans, now these are perfect for what i want, however the cable that they have is VERY ugly, you know that standard red, yellow and black that you get. Well what i would like to know is what kind of solutions you guys have had, to make the trailing wires a bit more appealing to the eye, when seen through the window, i know the answer will mostly be "get new fans with nicer cables" or "get some custom sleeving to match the build colour scheme", and these would be good suggestions but im more interested in intuitive ideas that aren't going to cost me allot of money. Ones that are more imaginative and creative.

The one idea that i have that i will most likely use is to replace the old cable with a piece of steel braided sleeved wire which i "acquired" from work, it looks quite nice especially with LED lights shining on it. and when bent kind of holds its shape so i was thinking maybe work out how they will go and then bend them to give a more neat look with 90 degree bends, etc.

I know im probably just being fussy, but on my brothers PC he has a similar window with similar fans and every time i look at it, i cringe at how "off",they are, they just don't match anything, so i would like to find a way to make them either 1) Less noticeable 2) Look nicer when you do notice them or 3) Possibly make a subtle feature out of them.

Thanks for any replys guys :)

Black electrical tape. I used it on fan extensions and makes it look nice.

yeah! Black electrical tape is really great, I've used it a lot to cover some of the colourful cables in the back of the case, just neatens it up a bit. And I was actually considering paracord, I managed to find some nice and cheap, so at the moment it's a tie between paracord and steel braided :D Thanks again.
