This has never happened to me before and idk if i'm on the wrong thread but I just need help. I recently upgraded my my cpu and motherboard. since then I've been trying to play CSGO I get into a match and after anywhere from 10 seconds to 5 minutes into the match I get a solid black screen and I hear a loop of the audio I was just hearing. It then goes silent and I'm greeted with the motherboard splash screen and my pc restarts. This has happened 7 times how. The hardware isn't overheating, the temps are extremely safe (40-50 degrees C). Also this only happens in CSGO. I've played games such as TF2, BF4 and Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon with absolutely no problem for hours on end. This is why I think it might be software based.

Here's what I've tried

Deleting launch options

Changing Launch options to (-w 1920 -h 1080) as apparently people have found success with it

uninstalling and re-installing the game

Verifying the integrity of the cache

Opened my pc and made sure everything was plugged in all the way

My Pc

-Intel i5-4690

-Msi B85m-p33

-Zotac GTX 970

-8Gbs HyperX Fury Ram (Single channel)

-WD Blue 1tb

If anyone could help me that'd be great, I love this game and I wanna keep playing it. Thanks

Initially it seems like a DirectX 9.0 issue as the games that work are DirectX 11 based.

Try using older graphics drivers and see if that works.

To correctly uninstall current display drivers before installing another version read here:

TF2 is DirectX 9 Based and I'm literally playing that game right now, however I just got a message that my chipset driver didn't install correctly, idk if that might be a reason why it would do that.
