Computer component recommendations
I am looking in to building my own pc but the problem is i dont have a massive budget at the moment but i dont want to spend years saving up.
so i would like some recommendations for all parts that are not listed and if you want to you can even recommend some alternative parts for the ones that are listed.
Case:
Bequiet! Silent Base 800
Well, cases are a very subjective choice. As long as it fits everything you're going to put into it (don't see any problem here), you're more or less fine.
Processor:
Intel 4790/k or intel 4690k (you can also give a recomendation between these two if you would like to)
For gaming performance 4690K is all you currently need. 4790K if you also do some editing/rendering - or like to do 2-3 things in parallel while gaming.
Graphics Card:
Invidia GTX 970Good choice - SLI is an option for later as well (with the right motherboard)
Ram:
(16GB) ?
More than currently needed for gaming (8GB are enough), but nothing wrong about it either, just costs more money.
Mother Board:?
With either 4690K or 4790K a Z97 it is. Pretty much any board from ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI or Asrock will do.
SSD:?
(minimum: 1TB)
Actually 1 TB is the biggest there is, as far as consumer level SATA drives are concerned. And they are really expensive - and really not budget-friendly at all.
(this will be my maid storage)
I'd say go for mixed setup instead. 120 or (preferably) 1250 GB SSD for OS and most important programs/games, and a HDD for the rest.
Power Supply:? 850w give or take a few wats
More than you'll ever need with that setup. You could probably run this system on 550W. Just make sure it's good quality. Never ever skimp on power supply! It's the only part of your PC that can not only kill every other component, but set your whole house on fire (and I'm not joking here).
CPU Cooler:?
Depends on how much room your case has, and you may have to watch out for RAM clearance issues, but a top air cooler (e.g. Noctua NH-D14 or 15, be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 or PHANTEKS PH-TC14PE) or maybe an AIO water cooler will work great, even for overclocking.
Sound Card:? Or a mother board with on board audio i really dont know much on the topic of audio in pc's
Onboard audio should be enough for most people - it has come a long way since the bad old times. For the more audiophile among us, an external Amp/DAC is probably preferable over any dedicated internal sound card.
There you go.
