Might not be a bad idea. What kind of keyboard are you thinking? Chances are a keyboard will always be at least a little be easier to type on than a touchscreen on a tablet.

Depends on your use of the tablet I'd say.

With my Nexus 7, I just browse Reddit,Forum,Facebook. I'm not really doing much that requires a real keyboard, so I just stick with using SwiftKey.

With my Surface, I program and write up work on it, so grabbing a keyboard for that made more sense to me as I was using a keyboard on it far more.

 

For general browsing, and really anything outside of work, SwiftKey (or your fave keyboard) will most likely be okay for it.
