So, Linus and his team have inspired me to take a step away from my usual console gaming and try a little bit of PC gaming.

My problem is that I cant decide on what video card to get. My  goal is to run games at 1080p with maximum frame rates of 60 fps.

Currently I am looking at either a 750ti (ASUS Strix) or a 760, but am leaning more towards the 760 because it provides over 2x the amount of frames for only $100 more and is SLI compatible as opposed to the 750 ti.

I also am trying to decide on what brand of card to go with. The MSI or ASUS cards match the red and black color scheme of my build.

Some games I was interested in playing were Farcry 4, Day Z, The Forrest, Warframe and The Crew. (If that helps)

This is the list of my components:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K

CPU Cooler: Corsair H80i

Motherboard: MSI Z97-G45 Gaming

Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB)

SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB

HDD: Western Digital Black 1TB

PSU: Corsair RM 650W

Case: Corsair Obsidian 450D

OS: Microsoft Windows 8.1

Any suggestion are welcome. Thanks! :)

Wellcome to the master race, my friend.

Anyways, as @Fate mentioned above the R280X is a better alternative for the price.

I would recommend that you wait for a gtx 960 or just a r9 280 or 280x cause they are much better cards and nice build i have the same case and also I would go with 8gb of ram if you are just gaming on this machine and put the money you save towards a better gpu but that's just my opinion

@Kirby3499 I was going to do some light video editing so i figured that the system would benefit from the extra ram.

The R9 280x looks like the better option, but his build isnt going to happen for a few months.

Hopefully by that time more details on the 960 will be released and then ill compare it with the R9 280x for my final decision.

Thanks to all for the great suggestions! :)
