hey, I'm getting really bad artificating on numerous games :/ When I had my FX-8350 it was non-existent, but ever since I got my new cpu I've had artifacting.

I've tried:

- Reinstalling drivers

- using non-omega drivers

- reseating the gpus

any ideas?

ok, is it possible on card has artifacting but not the other?

maybe when I used the 8350 the good card was on top, but maybe when I rebuilt my pc I put the defective one on top

It's also possible that your new cpu is allowing your gpus to stretch their legs -- which your old cpu might have prevented.

btw, if like swapping the cards actually works, would it still be worth rma'ing? (is like artificating a sign of gpu death?)

What if there is something wrong with the cpu? If you just got a new cpu and now have artifacting than maybe you should rma your cpu?

artifacting isn't necessarily a sign of death, just that the card isn't truly stable at it's clock speed; and since it's at the default clock speed, then it should be it eligible for an RMA.

would turning up the voltage help?

Maybe, it's like cpu overclocking...more voltage may or may not make it stable.

have you tried swapping the cards?

Does the artifacting always happen or only under heavy load? -- What happens if you set the limit to 60fps -- i.e. it aims for 60fps even if the card can do much more.

ill try swapping them now

and yes, for the first minute of BF3 it's fine but the longer I go the worst the artifacting
