Hi,

I recently bought my first Graphics card and have a query regarding the cable/adapter I need.

When I bought my Corsair PSU I lost all the extra adapters it comes with (anything left in a box in my house is thrown away!).

The back of the PSU is 6 pin modular female connections. The back of the Graphics card is also a 6pin female connection. So I'd presume I could just find a 6pin male to male connection, but doesn't seem to exist. And even 2 6pin female to male connections won't work (unless I am simply mistaking it).

So I really just don't know what cable/adapter I need to connect my Graphics Card to the PSU.

I attached 3 photos. One of the PSU, one of the Graphics Card, and one of the cable the Graphics card came with. I did also try find a 6pin male to a female version of the adapter I was given and that too I could not find.

PSU - Corsair Builder Series CXM 430W Modular

Graphics Card - MSI R9 270 Gaming 2G PCIe Graphics Card

You need a PSU to PCIe cable... the PCIe side is standardized... not sure about the PSU side, though. Could be that's different for each manufacturer/model... you really shouldn't have gotten those cables thrown away. You can try contacting Corsair, maybe they can help you out... not sure if stores carry these as extras.
