Wifi issue

I built a new computer for my girlfriend and it was working fine for a few days, but now it won't connect to the internet.

What I've tried:

  • switching wifi cards
  • taking the computer to my house to try a different router
  • resetting the router
  • removing the network and reconnecting

What has worked:

  • Connecting to my phone's mobile hotspot

What is happening when I try to connect to a normal network (varies):

  • Security key is incorrect (despite it being correct)
  • Network security settings don't match (WPA2-AES)
  • Prompted to enter password multiple times
  • Prompted to enter admin credentials

Networking is not my forte and this issue is really driving me crazy. Any suggestions?

Did you try reinstalling the adapter driver/disabling and then enabling it?
