1. There is no such thing as gaming motherboards unless you count better audio as a gaming motherboard feature

2. An AMD CPU will bottleneck real quickly in heavier games or with some higher end cards

a few, id stick with gigabyte boards on the amd side, asus has broken on me one too many times with that sabertooth, then my customers give me shit for it.

There aren't any decent AMD boards on the mATX side of things. I'd opt for an Intel setup anyway as you'll likely have a better gaming experience.

There are no good am3+ m-atx boards at the moment.

They all lack on vreg design.

Asus did some postings on various community´s, to look if there was enough interessts for designing a decent M-atx AM3+ board.

But i dont think there was enough interessts for it unfortunatly.

This would be my recommendation for a budget oriented gaming system, this offers better performance for around the same price as an FX kit

and it's much more efficient and it won't limit the performance of higher end GPU's...provides better minimums FPS than an overclocked FX

and offers you an upgrade path...only pros, no cons with this:

Total: $243.98

there seem to be almost no support for what im looking for on the amd side so i think im gonne go with intel, but thanks for repling everybody

AMD FX CPU's are too power hungry for them to be used in mATX size motherboards, the VRM design required for such high TDP chips can't really be adopted for mATX format boards that's why there's no good mATX boards for those processors...on a side note if you are on a real tight budget and don't mind much lower gaming performance you could always look at something like this though:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: AMD Athlon X4 860K 3.7GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($79.98 @ OutletPC)

Motherboard: Asus A88XM-A Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard  ($67.99 @ SuperBiiz)

Total: $147.97

But be advised, this performs nowhere near the i5 and H97 kit i've suggested earlier, do your research.

Honestly, even in that price range intel whips it, it's the core i3:
