Hello I'm new here and also new to this
I'm going to be using the build thread recomendation as a template for this.

1. Budget + Location
- My budget is around 11000 dkk
That's around 1750 dollars
And that's 1470 euro
- My location is Denmark.

2. Aim
- My aim is gaming and design work. I want to be able to run games like crysis2 or far cry 3. If my budget doesn't allow for that then I'll just save up more dosh, but I do prefer to be able to buy it now and even more for less money if possible.
- on a side note I like it when my system is as silent as possible.

3. Monitors
- I plan on using one monitor, I've bought an ASUS PB279Q 4k (Link:
http://www.asus.com/Monitors/PB279Q/ ) . So I'm going to be needing a lot of power to run it.

4. Peripherals
- I already have the stuff I need like mouse, keyboard and such.

5. Why upgrading
-  I'm upgrading because my system is starting to show its age and can't run what is required. I built this back in 2007.

My build so far:

I'm sorry for the sites not being in english, but I hope you can figure it out.

My questions are whether this will be able to run 4k
- Have I chosen the right components, like do the fans or cooler match or would you recommend something different.

So what do you think of this build and do you have any suggestions? :)

To run 4k gaming you'll really need SLI 980s.

So, if you want to run 4k, then I suggest going with a cheaper motherboard, 8gb of Ram, an EVGA G2 750w psu, and a cheaper ssd (Whichever happens to be cheaper: Sandisk Ultra 2, Crucial MX100, Crucial M500, Crucial M550, Adata SP900, 840 Evo, 850 Evo, Kingston HyperX). I also wouldn't get Noctua fans until you've gotten everything else (i.e. spend your money elsewhere first -- and only get Noctua fans if you still have money leftover).

depends on the games you'll play, league of legends and those "not so power dependent" games, a 970 will give you a decent performance in 4k
but if you want to play triple A titles you need at least a 980 in sli to play them at ultra settings 40-60 fps

You don't need 2 980 to play AAA games at ultra 4k. 2 970 or 2 290x or a 295x2 provide better value and will give you great performance at 4k. Check out these benchmarks

two 290x's, while cheaper upfront produce a LOT more heat, are about 10% slower, and consumes a LOT more power. After a couple years, the energy costs alone make up for the cost difference -- not to mention the need for much more expensive psu.

I also wouldn't call 40 fps good, plus the 970/290 will yield lower minimums than 980s -- which makes that 40fps even worse. (crysis 3 is dipping into the 17-20 fps range, Metro dips into 12-16 range, thief into the 9-12 range, etc...) So 970s/290s really don't do well at 4k.

Yeah i know i just want to list all the option for him. I would go for 2 970 since they comsumes very little power and run much cooler then 2 290x

I am pretty sure pc part picker ships to Denmark (or whatever stores it suggests)

Have you thought about using that site?

Or a similar site that's aimed at Danish viewer/people?

In Sweden we have pricerunner and prisjakt which is similar to pc part picker.

If you spread out what you buy to different stores then you will get a cheaper and hopefully more powerful pc.

You also haven't mentioned how much the stuff that you have chosen cost for you.

Edit: You seem to already have spread it to different stores so nvm that I guess.

Holy crap thank you all so much for your responses.

I haven't tried PC part picker, so I'll give it a try thank you :) I just hope the postal charges won't skyrocket. I haven't thought of using pricerunner yet, so thank you for that too.
I have used another site for searching for components on other sites to find the cheapest one.
So far I estimated that the cost would be around 11717 DKK. That is calculating shipment etc.
It's a bit above what I aimed at so I was at a stand still after that.
I'll try running it through pricerunner and see what I can get.

Two 970 would be a very good choice if only I can somehow keep it within the budget, if not then I'll just have to save more money and live off pasta and ketchup for a while. Maybe add some tuna.
What kind of gtx 970 would you recommend? the one I found was EVGA which is pretty expensive.
Thanks for listing the possibilities btw and also making arguements against and for, the more options the better. :)
To Djdwosk9: you suggested a cheaper motherboard, can you recommend a good one? I was recommended this: http://www.proshop.dk/Bundkort/ASRock-Z97-Anniversary-2449771.html but I'm unsure whether it was good enough.

Again thanks for the great responses so far. I humbly submit to your surperior wisdom oh gods of technology.

If you can afford it 2 970 g1 gaming is what i would go for.

Pretty much any Z97 board with SLI support would be good (not the Z97 Anniversary from Asrock) -- usually the MSI G55 SLI/MSI Z97s SLI, Gigabyte Z97x SLI, or Asus Z97-A are the cheapest choices.

As for a 970/980 (although, I would still highly recommend SLI 980s if you really want to play at 4k at not have terrible frame drops/mediocre FPS) EVGA, Gigabyte, Asus, PNY, Zotac, etc... (with the best being the Gigabyte G1 Gaming, HOWEVER, if my choice was the G1 gaming 970s vs. other 980s, then i'd go with the 980s).

Would this work?

You also mentioned I should only get Noctua fans if I've got the dosh for it. Can you recommend similar quiet fans which also provide low noise?

Well, for right now a 4690k will perform the same as a 4790k (at the same cock speeds) in most games -- although there are some that can benefit from the extra cores of the 4790k. So, in the future (something a 4k build is obviously aimed at) a 4790k will be better than a 4690k. With that said, two 980s + 4690k would still be better than two 970s + 4790k -- especially when you realize that at ultra high resolutions games become less and less cpu bound making the difference between a 4690k and a 4790k even less. So, if I had to go one route or the other, I would probably go with the 4690k+two 980s -- but something I would definitely be considering is that it's much easier to go with a 4790k + one 980 and then buying a second 980 down the road than it is to buy a 4690k + two 980s and then potentially have to replace the 4690k with something more powerful. What might be a good idea -- get a 4790k + a single 980 and stick to whatever monitor you have now (assuming it's 1080p anyway) and then just picking up a second 980 and a 4k monitor down the road -- as both the 980 and 4k monitors will go down as time goes on with 4k monitors seeing a pretty large drop in price (at least there should be a pretty large price drop).

As for fans....I honestly couldn't tell you as I don't have much experience with a variety of fans and haven't gotten any amazing answers (with some supporting numbers anyway) myself. But Rosewill Hyperborea's get suggested quite a bit and do go on sale to $5/fan quite often.

And as for the items you linked, all are good choices. But I would get this GPU instead: http://www.computersalg.dk/produkt/2346208/gigabyte-gvn980wf3oc4gd-rev-1011
