Im trying to fix a old Dell Inspiron B130 running Win XP for a friend and when i start it up it blue screens the code is

 

STOP: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x609115F8, 0xA9F2C072, 0x00000000)

 

I am looking in to the prob but just to save me time i thort to post it here to see if any one ells has any idear. Thanks :D

lol was just on that site and i cant do most of that but what i can do im testing now (testing ram atm)

wow i got the comp up to the desk top and it was like a old movie with all the pop ups from trojens and shit XD wish i could get a pic for you guys

May be the os is corrupted, at what point exactly in the boot up does it crash.

It's not a driver disc. It's an OS disc. Do you have any blank DVDs or perhaps a flash drive?

The laptop itself may have the feature outside of Windows. You can't reset inside of Windows. Also, if you can find the Windows XP ISO(perhaps a hacked one), and burn it onto a DVD, you would be able to boot from there and reinstall Windows XP.

i cant even find any sort of reset options i have presed all the F keys and nothing that is close to reseting

Install one. Two AVs may interfere with each other, and will cause system resources to be eaten up. However, you can install Avast in compatibility mode to run with other AVs.

no i like using AVG with Nprotect Game Gurd. AVG watches over my internet/files and Nprotect Game Gurd/ Nprotect home editon scans any CD/USB that put in to the comp
