is it me or every one. every time i call customer service im put through some b.s troubleshooting for 30 min. today i had to call about my kids laptops heatsink fan having failed berrings and that the fan was bouncing aroun inside. they demanded that i check the firmware and update it. claiming that would fix the issue.

another time my cablemodem wasnt recieving the authorization from the server and was told that i was going to be charged for a service call because my router was the issue. he didnt care that i was a repair tech for an outside contractor for the cablecompany.

 

every time i walk into radio shack i feel this way since it actualy happened cus the storemanger didnt know that an ethernet switch existed when it was sitting on the counter infront of her when the customer asked for an ethernet splitter if i wasnt standing there the poor customer would have ended up buying a second router or walked out not being able to help her son.

The bios on this particular machine seems to be corrupted, and we are unable to flash it.

 

Im sorry sir but we only deal with hardware issues. All software issues need to be dealt with by the customer.

 

This machine has a 3yr extended on site warranty and you're telling me you're refusing to repair it?
