Referance GPU for WC?

If I water cool my GPU ia it worth spending more and then not using the cooler from an after markrt cooler or should I get a referance? I think of getting the 290x. Can you get a block preinstalled?

Reference coolers are actually normally more expnsive than non-reference.

If someone plans on water cooling it´s always better to buy a reference design. But there are pre installed versions of R9 290X with watercoolers. Personally I don´t like that too much and do it rather myself, that I know I have enough and the best possible thermal compound on the chip and the thermal pads are applied correctly.

I looked at visiontek website and it doesn't look like a whole loop would be sold at that price, was the whole loop thing a review model?

You could get a card with a reference pcb but aftermarket cooler
