Mechanical Keyboard, small-ish, solid, inexpensive

As the title says. What is your reccomendation for a solid/no-frills mechanical keyboard.

Background:

I have a sweet setup back home (3570k @ 4.8 Ghz max, GTX 670, Corsair K90 mech keybaord, etc) but am off at college. I need a compact/no-frills keyboard to work with my laptop (Razer Blade 2014). I use a 1080p monitor + mouse + keyboard so that my laptop acts as my portable gaming station and can basically re-enact a standalone PC. I love my Cherry MX Reds and wouldn't mind Blues. It just needs to be somewhat compact (because of small dorm/desk issues), inexpensive (because booze isnt), and solid (because I hate flimsy plastic keyboards. I could crack open a skull with the metal Corsair K90).

Budget is $100 but I can go higher/lower. I still need to get a mousepad too, so if you can recommend me a large/cheap one, that would be great.

Thanks LTT,

E

I've heard fantastic things about Ducky keyboards, tbh. The ballpark for money is around $100 (Ill update my OP to include this).

I was looking at this:

http://www.amazon.com/Storm-QuickFire-Rapid-Tenkeyless-Mechanical/dp/B007VDKLLM/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1420672354&sr=8-9&keywords=ducky+keyboard

Perhaps just the short version of my K90 would be a good idea? (the K70 is only $115)

Thats the one i meant

Steve

for ~$120 you get a small, metal frame keyboard with options for cherry mx blues and reds; good deal IMO.  I have one; its awesome :)  also Linus has a review of it if you want to check it out

Since I already basically have the K70, maybe I will pick up a Ducky and try it out!
