EVGA ACX Cooler Compatability?

Hey guys this may be kind of a stupid question but im doing an

sli configuration of a couple gtx 760s

One being the EVGA gtx 760 SC w/ acx cooler

The other Gigabytes gtx 760 windforce

Got them both for super low price (sub 100$)

However the fact that there both different size cooler sets off my OCD

aha so i found this available for purchase

and i was basically wondering if this would fit the Gigabyte card

Not the exact same style as the gtx cooler but it would work for me.

The 760 is a GK104 card and the Titan is a GK110 card, the chip on the GK110 is much larger than the GK104 and it will not fit any 760 PCB.

Ah i see do. Does anyone perhaps know if either cooler are available for purchase some where?

The gigabyte windforce or acx cooler.

Or even perhaps an aftermarket cooler???

Im assuming both use the GK104 card and therefore should be compatible?

When using coolers meant for the same chip you don't have to worry about the chips being different because they aren't. When looking for a cooler for the same kind of GPU you need to worry about the board design, of both are reference then in theory they should be interchangeable. You could try to switch them right now to find out and if they are in fact reference boards then you just need to decide which cooler you like and find another cooler of that type. Searching Ebay might be a good place to look but the chance for a DOA card with something is new as a 760 is unlikely. That being said there are options like the Raijintech Morpheus but it is quite large(4 slots with fans attached) and you would need very wide PCIe slot spacing for that to work. other options from http://www.arctic.ac/us_en/products/cooling/vga.html would be more sensible if the other options are doable.

 

You should also use the quote function, I wouldn't have seen that you replied if I hadn't accidentally reopened this thread. Another helpful thing to do would to to hit the subscribe button to you get notified when someone posts on your thread.
