Need some help here

so i posted a while ago now about upgrading my rig from my i3 to either i5 or 8350, that convo ended in getting an older i7 for my motherboard and well sadly my motherboard died and i assume my i3 too but i have no way to test.

 

so here is what i need help with I have around £200 to spend on MB and CPU.

 

I mostly photo edit, render in blender, web development and running virtual machines for things like android development and so on games I do play from time to time are euro truck sim 2, dungeon defenders and skyrim (not so much on this one) partner plays sims 3.

 

hardware i already have are:

 

AMD 7770

8GB ram 1600 (can O.C to 1800)

256 SSD

550W PSU

 

basically everything but CPU/motherboard.

 

few option i came up with where

 

8350, I5 or a 7890k APU. I read that AMD will be bring out zen next year which i assume is going to be for FM2+.

 

So what do you guys think? I know the APU wouldn't be great for rendering but should allow me to upgrade later next year?

APU's are horrible for rendering, the 8350 will be the best option now  however the i5 lets you upgrade to something like a 4790k in the future

Definitely don't get the APU. From what I hear, they aren't that great when it comes to the CPU side performance. The 8 cores of the 8350 would be utilized extremely well based off of what you plan to do.

Yeah i know that but seeing as AM3+ is old now and AMD probably won't release zen for it. Maybe i am too hopeful for zen?
