dayz....

I've read that there's tons of glitches and hackers in dayz and the devs pretty much do nothing.  but i've also read that it can be a ton of fun with friends.   I have some friends that have dayz and they want me to get it.  Do you guys think that the good things in the game can outweigh the bad things?  I don't want to spend $35 on a game that will just suck.  the steam reviews at the top are negative, but steam says they are "very positive" on average.   I was thinking about getting over the winter sale but it never went below $30.  Do you guys think it's worth it? i'd be playing with some of my best friends

I was in the same situation, now no one I know plays it due to the game not getting any decent updates to fix anything.

 

So in my opinion, don't buy it. RUST is a much better option for that type of game.

I have my reasons of why I wouldn't buy the game again. My friend plays it a lot and tried to me into in. 

 

I have a problem with the fact that it takes two hours to get kitted up, and perhaps that is overkill but if start out in bad spots and constantly get killed I think its pretty accurate. 

It only takes one guy to take down after that two hours of getting ready, and mostly likely you won't even see it coming. 

You can go onto any server and get kitted and then switch to a full server and have guns and way more stuff than others. Of course this isn't a problem if you play as a group and don't be jerks. However when the solo gets constantly picked on its no fun IMO. 

Game doesn't run all that great.

I bought it when standalone was first "released", done alot of hiking, but had a blast. I only put in about 50 hours into the game, but played with 10 people and had a great time. If you friends, you should have a great time on dayz. The walking is a huge negative.

Out of the 200 hours I've put get the game I've only come across 2 hacking situations. I personally love the game, its getting better and better with each patch and the next big patch " new renderer" should fix a majority of the performance issues everyone is having. If you always have friends to play with you should enjoy it. If I were you I would check out some gameplay videos to help decide if it is for you, check out Mrblackout or jamjar on YouTube they have a ton of videos that really highlight the game.

It's a scam. The creator of it released an unfinished game (in early access, doesn't matter has way too slow development) and once he got his millions he quit. Simple as that.
