My Ram seems to have fixed itself... by me swapping the 2 sticks around (i am still monitoring the resource monitor) (for more info on that : http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/284373-is-this-a-ram-problem-or-something/ ) but i am confused about the cpu ocing on my motherboard

in Linus's G3258 ocing video he went over 4GHz and didnt change the voltage.... and on my mobo (i know i have Z87 not Z97 chipset.... but it supports the cpu ...) i have to go and set the voltage manualy for windows to boot up (the motherboard posts with 4ghz and voltage on auto) so im confused to what is the cause to this oh and it takes more then 5 minutes for the windows to start .... could it be a hdd failing?

DO NOT ASK ABOUT WHY SUCH A MOTHERBOARD AND THEN POOF A PENTIUM.....
ill give you a clue ;)
money is not a strong one for me :(

Why such an expensive mobo and then poof a Pentium?

ok since you are the 1st one.... ill answer.... i planed a build with this mobo and a i7 4770K but then i get the mobo... ram and poof they are out of suck with the i7.... sure i can wait a little... and i found out about the 4790K and waited for that to come out (just so you know im slowly spending the money on stuff i need more then a pc) and when it came out .... i didnt have the money .... so my mobo sat for a year in total ... and it was a shame to let it just sit there .... so got the best cheapest cpu i could afford... (would take like 3-4 months for me to save up for a i7 ...)

With that voltage, have you tried to increase your core clock at all?

the ram thing could have been the ram not being seated properly the first time.

Silicon lottery / binning. Not everyone's CPU will reach the same overclock speed with the same voltage. Intel only guarantees the speed on the box.

but can this be such a unlucky one? but its wierd cause its posts but windows crashes....
