Help for choosing PSU

Hi!

I just started a thread about building a PC. Compared to GPUs and other parts, I really don't know too much about PSUs and what is needed vs what is overkil.

The machine will probably include a 970 fra EVGA and possibly an FX-8370 beacuase intels overclockable CPUs don't go that low in price.

Other than that nothing special, an SSD and a regular HDD. Probably 8GB RAM and thats it I would think.

 

Any thoughts and tips?

An EVGA 500W is good and if you need headroom, the EVGA 750G2 is great.

an evga 750 G or B series is a great choice for the money

but if you want to be cheap get a 500 or 550 W

I think any 80+ certified 500w psu should be plenty enough just don't go too fancy and pricey
