Help, my wd red drive shows up in the bios but not in win 8 D:

Help, my wd red drive shows up in the bios but not in win 8 D:

from desktop right  click my pc > manage > storage > disk management > scroll down still you see it > right click on it . assign it a drive letter

it is not there.....

Search in your control panel for Disk Management should get you it. The drive should show up in there just right click and assign a letter  or in control panel:

System and security/Administrative tools

Computer Management

Disk Management

Under action you should be able to rescan then the computer will look for disks. 

 

Perhaps also try a different SATA port in your computer.

Speaking of the SATA could also be a faulty cable. Power or Data.

Its odd that it is in the bios and then not in the Disk Manager. Has me stumped.

Go to device manager, disk drives, and take a screen shot of what's in there and post it here, it should show something WD related?

No it does not, its not the cable either i switched myy disk drive one with it and it still doesn't
