Hi guys,

Does anyone happen to know if ASUS plans on creating an update to the current PB238Q IPS monitor?

ASUS seem to have discontinued the ASUS PB238Q here in Australia several mouths back last year (2014), so I's wondering if anyone has heard of an updated model being realised maybe sometime this year.

I'm asking this because it was a well priced 1080p monitor with a fully adjustable stand.

I know you might suggest Dell monitors, but due to my bad experience with them, as detailed in a thread on this forum, I would prefer to go with an ASUS PB238Q if an update was going to be released.

Anyway, thanks in advance guys for any info. :)

There is the PA238QR . The PA238Q was superior to the PB238Q for a number of reasons, some quite annoying but became unavailable as it was their second ProArt monitor and didnt have the staying power like the PA246Q. One thing I always liked about the PA238Q was that it have native support for 24hz.

Well there's the PA249Q, but that's $600 at ScorpTech and if you're going to pay that much you might as well get the PB278Q with its 1440p panel (which is available here for said price) and the PA279Q for AU$1,080 (way too expensive).

Yea but the PA249Q is gorgeous 16:10 and has near 100% adobe rgb. It's also a 10bit display. *I may be a bit biased as I have one* personally I'd take it over the PB278Q which I also happen to have.

Also non PA or PB panels available or do you really want/need the nice stand?
