http://pcpartpicker.com/p/D2ynMp I have everything but the CPU cooler and I can't wait to load up some GTA 5 in January :D

Is it really your build? Because if you're gonna go all out, wait for 16GB DDR4 dimms (X99 can support 128GB of non-ecc DDR4). Alos, get an H105 CPU cooler. It'll be much better.  And the case should be better for such a beast of a build. As well as the DVD drive - get a bluray. Fianlly, get the ASUS Rampage V Extreme X99 board - it's better for gaming (mine rocks).

My arsenal: i7-9700k Gaming Rig, an iPhone, and Stupidity.

Nobody buys a PC like that just to play a game which haven't even releashed yet. He obviously need the PC for many other applications. If he wanted to play a game he wouldn't need 64GB RAM and 13TBs of storage lol.

Agreed with @Dadasepc. IMHO, I would get a H240-X. A fully explainable and expandable All in one liquid cooler unit, you can expand it in the future, it has a strong enough pump for more rads or more waterblocks. Don't plan on expanding ? I still recommend it by being able to change the liquid, you are increasing the longevity of the unit. It cools like a beast, and has good enough looks.

It has more gaming-aimed features than the Deluxe. Given, any X99 board will perform the exact same, but the RVE offers extra things on the side.

Why such a cheap case ? I would expect that you spent at least $200 on a good case, since you're spending 5k on a ridiculously overkill PC. Well that's just me, your option may vary.

Im one of those guys who prefer Workstation Boards. IMHO, they have everything an ENTHUSIAST will need. 4 way SLI, compatibility with different hardwares, offers great stability, they don't come with crap they (ENTHUSIAST) doesn't need.... exchangeable UpAmps etc.... and last they OC's like a beast!

The only reasons that I didn't get the WS over the Rampage are the built in wifi of the rampage, the support of the ROG FrontBase (crappy reason, I know), and the color scheme. Now I like the look of the WS better since I've gotten rid of my red and black MSI GPU but I can't go back in time :/

Exactly. It annoys me when people take having more features and additional functionality as inherently better for gaming. The vast majority of boards will perform the same for gaming, the only thing differentiating them being SLI support and the number of PCI BUS lanes for crazy SLI/Crossfire setups. For things like OC'ing and other enthusiast stuff a higher end board will perform better, but that's not gaming. :P

TL;DR I'm being picky with you saying that a board with more features is better for gaming. More features add more stuff, but they're not inherently better for gaming purposes.

That's fair enough, I'm the same, I also prefer workstation boards to gaming/enthusiast ones when possible. My problem was with the idea that more features make something inherently better for gaming, which it doesn't.
