Hey forum,

I need some help, I currently have a monitor with hdmi, dvi, and vga inputs, however no audio output and no speakers. My computer works fine with it because my headset plugs into my computer. I would like to connect my apple tv and my xbox 360 to my monitor, to do this I would will need an hdmi switch (with 3 ports) My question is, how do I solve my audio problem? Do some HDMI switches come with audio ports?

Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks, Canadianultra

Not sure why you want to connect an Apple TV to your computer monitor as your computer can do everything the Apple TV can do and more.

In terms of Xbox 360, it depends which model you have. For example if it is a newer one with HDMI port you can use this (http://www.amazon.co.uk/HDMI-Cable-Audio-Adapter-Xbox/dp/B003Q958RW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1371823386&sr=8-2&keywords=Xbox+360+audio) which outputs the video to the HDMI and the audio to the phono ports; then just get a phono to 3.5mm cable and plug the 3.5mm into the line in port on your motherboard and enable listen back for that line in input.

Then plug your computer into the monitor via DVI then all you have to do is change the monitor input to flick between computer and Xbox 360.

This method works perfectly for me.
