Yea, Only the ASUS card has a pre-installed backplate.

I think that Asus, EVGA and Gigabyte (G1 Gaming) includes a backplate in their cards.

ASUS Strix has one, so does the G1 Gaming. 

 

EVGA also sells them for their cards, but seperately...just look around a bit if you REALLY want a backplate.
